L’Associazione
Assegno Amico, Associazione Onlus constituted on November the 5th 2002,
is the result of the solidarity experience developed from Gerolamo Gaslini Foundation
by looking after the children hospitalized to the Giannina Gaslini Pediatric
institute of Genoa for so many years.
The plan aims to help the families of the small patients who,
because of the disease, have to live in conditions of economic uneasiness
and social marginality.
Assegno Amico is an innovative proposal,
and will turn out to be a new instrument that could
make the solidarity more limpid and effective.
Our association indeed can prove in anytime to document
that the money donated both by the single ones and the companies
is converted into vouchers of eur 5 euro nominal value each
that the users can spend in the conventioned shops.
The Assegno Amico vouchers are managed by the Ticket Accor Service
which, through a punctual and effective monitoring action,
verifies that the activity performed by the association is understood
and carried out properly.
The supervision by the Accor Ticket Service ensures both the users
(the families of the hospitalized children) and the so called distributors
(pharmacies, groceries and other conventioned shops)
that the association carries on a clear and transparent activity.
The plan includes the following steps:
-
the donor transfers the money to the bank account
-
the association converts the money offered into vouchers and
delivers them to the social workers presents in the Giannina Gaslini
Hospital of Genoa, in Buzzi Pediatric Hospital of Milan
and the Regina Margherita Hospital of Turin.
-
the social workers, persons of tried efficiency and seriousness,
distribute them to the families of the children.
-
the beneficiaries use these vouchers to buy things of first necessity
or essential services which may need in the stores or agencies
credited by the association.
-
the distribution of the vouchers and their use are strictly monitored
